Batman Telltale Series Episode 5: City of Lights Released December 13

On December 12, Telltale Games released the official trailer for the Batman the Telltale Series finale, called City of Light. Today, the official episode was released for PC, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PS3. It was also released for iOS and Android devices, via the Apple Store and the Play Store respectively.

In City of Light, the leader of the Children of Arkham prepares to launch their final plan to destroy the Wayne family name as well as the people that are closest to you. Several questions are asked.

Can Batman’s ultimate secret be kept – his very identity – when it is causing chaos and death in Gotham? The fate of the Wayne family and of the city itself rests on your choices. What will you do? How far will you go? Which mask will you wear?

The game looks like a living, breathing comic book. Talltale’s version of Batman has an all-star cast, featuring Troy Baker as Bruce Wayne, Travis Willingham as Harvey Dent, Eric Yvette as Vicki Vale, Enn Reitel as Alfred Pennyworth, Murphy Guyer as Lieutenant James Gordon, Richard McGonagle as Carmine Falcone and Laura Bailey as Seline Kyle.

The trailer starts out with Bruce Wayne blaming himself for what’s happening to Alfred Pennyworth for what Wayne’s family has done. As Batman, he runs into an enemy. He asks the enemy where Pennyworth is to which the enemy responds by saying the Alfred will soon to be dead. The enemy also says what the city needs to do.

“A lesson needs to be taught to this forsaken city,” the enemy says. “They won’t look the other way; not again.”

A female voice then says that Gotham is a “city on fire.” She tells Wayne that if he was smart, he’d get out of the city.

The enemy then gives a rally cry to the prisoners of Arkham.

“Arkham, listen to me,” the enemy says. “Freedom is yours. The only one standing in your way is the Bat.”

The trailer ends with a fight scene between Batman and the unnamed enemy. After the enemy dodges multiple attacks, Batman finally makes contact with the enemy’s mask with a jumping punch. The screen then goes black, only showing the logo for Batman: The Telltale Series.

You can now download the game for $4.99. You can purchase the season pass for $24.99.
