Just yesterday, Overwatch dropped a short story titled “Bastet”, written by Michael Chu the creative director, that followed Ana and Soldier: 76 teaming up. The story mostly focuses on Ana’s past and present, with her being a guardian for Cairo; soon enough, she dawns a golden mask of the Egyptian Goddess Bastet. At the end of the short story, an image is shown of a 3D render of the skin cosmetic for Ana, telling players that a new skin was heading their way. However, no date had been released.
Unlock Ana-themed cosmetics including sprays, a player icon, a victory pose, and a new epic skin now thru Jan 21.

Overwatch introduced the “Become Bastet” Challenge. This challenge is set up just like how the D.Va Nuka-Cola challenge had been in summer of 2018. Players won’t be able to purchase the new Bastet Ana skin, victory pose, or sprays using in-game currency, nor will they get them through the lootbox system. The only way to get these Bastet themed cosmetics is by playing the game.
After winning nine matches in Quickplay, Competitive, or Arcade Mode, players will be rewarded with the Bastet items. The first three wins rewards players with the Bastet Player Icon, after six wins the reward is a sitting Victory Post, and after the ninth win the reward is the Epic Level Bastet Cosmetic for Ana.
Players can get additional rewards by watching Twitch Content Creators that have partnered up with Overwatch for the challenge event as well. Watching 2 hours of Twitch streams rewards players with a Bastet Ana spray in a sitting stance. 4 hours rewards players with a Jack Morrison and Vincent spray as well as Ana holding the Bastet mask spray. And 6 hours rewards players with two sprays of Ana and the Bastet mask, a well as the Bastet symbol that are showcased in the “Bastet” short story.
Win, Watch, and Earn Become Bastet Challenge is live now. This challenge event is available only for a limited time from January 8-January 21.
