Bandai Namco is Giving a Raise to All of Their Employees in Japan Due to Elden Ring’s Success

To say that Elden Ring has been a success is an understatement. The title has performed beyond everyone’s wildest expectations and has quickly inserted itself as the game to beat for 2022. From Software has created monster, and the publishing company has taken notice. Bandai Namco is apparently very happy with the numbers that Elden Ring is pulling in, and in working within their new program they have announced that all of their employees in Japan will be getting a raise to their base salary, as well as increasing the entry salary for new employees. Talk about celebrating in style.

According to the post, Bandai Namco will increase the standard employee pay by roughly ¥50,000, which equates to $435. This will raise the base monthly salary from ¥232,000 to  ¥290,000, which equates to $2,000 and $2,500 respectively. In addition to this, employees will also receive a ¥10,000 allowance each month which is being stated as “an opportunity to input entertainment for young employees.” As of this writing, it is not confirmed whether other Bandai Namco studios or other Bandai Namco regions will be receiving this same benefit.

The company is instituting all of this as part of their new initiative called “Connect with Fans” which is essentially a special way that the company is attempting to connect their fans with some of their respective IPs. According to the company, the staff, developers, and other employees are crucial to this initiative and more than likely encouraging this by stabilizing their monthly salary income.

It also helps out massively that Elden Ring has brought in an astounding amount of impressive statistics. Bandai Namco has greatly benefited thus far by acting as the main publisher for the SoulsBorne titles, and now they can add Elden Ring to that list of achievements. The new initiative is slated to go live sometime in April of this year, which means a lot of Bandai Namco developers in Japan are about to see a nice bump in their checks.
