Avalanche Studios Rebrands As Avalanche Studios Group; Teases New Game

Avalanche Studios, developers of the Just Cause series announced that they have changed its name to Avalanche Studios Group. Along with the name change, Avalanche Studios Group revealed their three creative divisions, Avalanche Studios, Expansive Worlds, and Systemic Reaction. This new change is a modern update and reflects the entirety of Avalanche Studios Group which means leveraging what Avalanche Studios is known for with games like Just Cause and other titles focused on outdoor games such as theHunter: Call of the Wild while beginning to establish their self-publishing brand Systemic Reaction. In addition, a new game has been teased by Systemic Reaction with more news on the project said to be coming soon.

Talking about this change to the company, Pim Holfve, CEO of Avalanche Studios Group said: “Since 2003, we have built a sustainable AAA business, and over the past five years, we have broadened our portfolio with our self-published games. Transitioning to Avalanche Studios Group and its three divisions marks the start of a new era. Although we have expanded to three creative divisions, our singular focus is to bring immersive open-world experiences to millions of players around the globe.”

Alongside this announcement, a Steam sale is now available for the entire catalog of games from Avalanche Studios Group including downloadable content. This means every game from its three divisions, including games like Just Cause 4, Rage 2, and Mad Max Avalanche Studios, theHunter: Call of the Wild from Expansive Worlds, and Generation Zero from Systemic Reaction.  “We want to celebrate this occasion by paying homage to our rich history of open-world games while also sharing a glimpse of what’s to come,” says Pim Holfve. “We have several games in development, and this is just the beginning of what promises to be another exciting decade for the entire Avalanche Studios Group.”
