Atmos Games and 3D Realms have announced that Twisted Tower will launch for PC via Steam on August 18, 2026. The action-adventure first-person shooter is developed by Atmos Games and published by 3D Realms.
Twisted Tower takes place inside an abandoned 1950s theme park resort that has been turned into something dangerous. Players climb through the tower while fighting corrupted mascots, avoiding traps, solving puzzles, and uncovering the story behind the resort. The game mixes carnival imagery, horror, and fast first-person shooting. The tower is divided into five main areas: the hotel, the waterpark, the clown casino, the carnival forest, and the space station. Each area changes the look and hazards of the area, with different routes available across playthroughs. Players will have to move through enemies, locked doors, traps, and puzzle-heavy spaces while continuing toward the top of the tower.
Combat involves strange weapons tied to the theme park setting. The weapon list includes a whack-a-mole mallet, rubber-band pistol, dart-throwing Tommy Gun, shotgun, bubblegum chain-gun, sniper slingshot, and ray gun. Players can also collect toys that open up movement options, including jumping, dashing, and grappling through parts of the tower.
The game comes from Atmos Games, the studio led by Thomas Brush. Brush previously developed Pinstripe and Neversong, both of which focused on atmospheric worlds, emotional stories, and strange characters. Twisted Tower keeps that story-driven approach with fast first-person shooter format. The project was first announced during Realms Deep 2023. 3D Realms announced at the time that it would publish the game in cooperation with Thomas Brush and Atmos Games. A Steam demo was later released during Steam Next Fest in February 2025, giving players an early look at the game’s shooting, tower structure, and theme park setting.
