The Atelier JRPG franchise is honestly still one of the most underrated in the market. The franchise always features a highly in-depth alchemy system that allows for crafting and progression for overall team building and progress. They also include a cast of colorful characters. Hence, it’s sad to see the Atelier franchise overshadowed. However, even so, the franchise is still very successful, as the sequel to Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land just officially revealed its release date as Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories launches February 25, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories is a direct sequel to Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land, specifically taking place 2 years after Yumia’s adventure in Aladiss. This time around, we will be following Karia and her new team as they adventure through Aladiss and uncover the mystery that plagues the land. The alchemy system returns and has seen a major upgrade, going past simple crafting items and weapons; this time, it’s to expand the world around you as you journey through it. The game will be officially released on February 25, 2027, and will feature different versions you can purchase. The standard edition will be available in both physical and digital formats and will only include a copy of the game. There is also a Premium Box, which is physical and will feature: A copy of the game, an art book, extra music tracks, a set of nine A4-size water-repellent posters, and an early distribution download code for the “Pioneering Team’s Head Chef” costume for Karia. And finally, the game will feature a digital deluxe edition with details to be announced soon, including a copy of the game and more.
