Today, Xbox revealed the new titles that will be arriving this month as part of the Xbox Game Pass. In all, 6 titles will be coming. Those games include Life Is Strange 2: Part 1, Ark: Survival Evolved, Farming Simulator 17, Absolver, Just Cause 3 and Aftercharge.
Ark: Survival Evolved has you “crafting, hunting, and surviving in an island full of dinosaurs” as well as other players doing the same thing. On the other end of the spectrum, Farming Simulator 17 “gives access to over 250 vehicles and equipment to help harvest a variety of crops and take care of livestock to live out a dream as a farmer.” Absolver is an online action role-playing game that has you taking on others using a variety of martial arts skills, learning new abilities and being able to customize how you fight. On top of that, you will also be able to “get new gear, weapons, and armor.”
Just Cause 3 has you causing even more chaos in the third entry of the Just Cause series. Like the other games, you’ll be able to “skydive and swoop across mountain ranges, hijack vehicles, and experiment in all sorts of ways to get your mission done and take down the dictator of a Mediterranean island.” Aftercharge is a 3 v 3 competitive title where one team has to shatter six cylinders and the other team has to stop that from happening. The team that is defending the cylinders is “armed to the teeth and invincible” so teamwork is a very important aspect of this game.
Life Is Strange 2: Part 1 is a new adventure in the Life Is Strange series. In Life Is Strange 2, you will “follow the path of two brothers, Sean and Daniel Diaz, as they are forced to flee from their home after an unexplained and tragic event.” Life Is Strange 2 continues the series’ strength of creating a world that feels real with characters that are relatable. There is scene in the first episode that highlights this very well, drawing parallels to the America we live in today. This is the first episode of the game, as episodes 2-5 will also be available on the Game Pass later.
Life Is Strange 2: Part 1, Ark: Survival Evolved and Farming Simulator 17 will come to Game Pass on January 3. Absolver will be a part of the catalog on January 7. Just Cause 3 and Aftercharge will be a part of Game Pass on January 10.
