As the standard quality of games improves more and more every year, the benefits of early access become more apparent, allowing developers to help their game stand out, gain a fanbase, and work out bugs or missing features with said fans. This led many gamers to be excited to learn that ArcheAge Chronicles would be coming to early access in early November. Developed and published by XLGames, the upcoming MMORPG will place players in a fantastical world with a focus on building a pioneer society.
To announce the upcoming release date, the game’s Steam store page received an update, including information on preorders and bonuses for those that do. The game takes place during the Age of Pioneers, a time of rediscovery as many people set off to the lost land of Auroria in the hope of making a name for themselves. Auroria itself will have all the features of a once-great land now destroyed and open for exploration, such as a destroyed ship and ancient ruins hosing secrets. Players will play as a trader that can engage in various activities including hunting, gathering, housing, farming, and crafting while working alongside other players for the maximum benefit. During combat, players will be able to choose a playstyle that best suits them from options such as melee, ranged, and magic.
In addition to the announcement, a new trailer was also released for the game. In it, the player character is faced with various giant monsters slumbering in the ruins. They are given the advice to be careful while searching for lost memories as no one has ever made it back, and encounter a hostile fighter who casts them off a cliff.
The release of the early access for ArcheAge Chronicles will give players a chance to connect to the land of Auroria and the place of their character within it. Those interested will have a chance to start when it releases on November 3rd.
