Apple Arcade Reveals Four New Games on iOS 14 That Are Coming Soon

Apple just revealed their newest Arcade games as “coming soon” for iOS 14. The games include Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time, The Last Campfire, Next Stop Nowhere, and World’s End Club. Though there are still unconfirmed release dates for each, there is some information about the games listed on each studio’s website and the App Store. Let’s get straight to them.

From the 2001 animation Samurai Jack, Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time is arriving on iOS for an epic finale. It is set to release on August 21st, and the original creators the animated series are assuring fans that it will be “authentic” – stated in a video interview. Users will play as Samurai Jack, who is considered “the greatest warrior of the past, present, and future” – stated on the Adult Swim Games website, and go back in time to finally defeat Aku’s evil reign of terror. Jack will encounter and team up with allies and fight against enemies from any favorite episode from the series. Users may also equip him with various weapons, strengthen his skills, and increase his power through rigorous training. The game is truly fitting as an epic series finale. In addition, first revealed in 2018, The Last Campfire will be released this Summer 2020 by Hello Games. It is an adventure-puzzle game, where users will play as a lost ember trapped in a puzzling world. They will encounter lost folk, mysterious creatures, and ancient ruins that may hint how to get back home and, ultimately, find meaning in the world. Throughout this journey, players will find hope and carry it to light The Last Campfire. Though there is little to no information about this game as of now, there is expected to be much more once the game releases soon. Check out the App Store or the official website to learn more about the game.

From the developer of Oxenfree and Afterparty, Night School Studio is publishing its newest game Next Stop Nowhere. On this road trip adventure, users will play as Beckett, a simple courier, who encounters a former bounty hunter Serra in search of saving her son Eddy. Unfortunately, Eddy is tracked by active bounty hunters. Beckett is then dragged into Serra’s journey in a galaxy rescue to save her son before they do. “How he (Beckett) survives–the choices he makes, the relationships he forges, the person he becomes–is up to you. – stated on the App Store. Check out Night School Studio’s Twitter page for more information.

Lastly, similar to the survival game Danganronpa, World’s End Club is a 2D action-adventure. The game is created by Izanagigames with Danganronpa’s Creative Director Kazutaka Kodaka also part of the game development. Unfortunately, there is no set release date yet. World’s End Club is about twelve 12-year-old children, who are on a 1200 mile trip in the summer. During their trip, they are hit by an unexpected blast from a distance and are victims of a bus accident.

Once they awake, they find themselves in an abandoned, underwater circus. Greeted by a mysterious clown, they are forced to participate in a “Fate Game.” This is where users choose their character and fight for their lives in order to survive among their peers. The characters also awaken their hidden abilities during the game with abnormal events simultaneously occurring throughout the world.
