Recently, Apex Legends has increased their level cap to support players that had already reached the 500 mark. This update is significant since players receive rewards for leveling up, and reaching the level cap means that players will receive fewer rewards for similar game time. Although the updated level cap was supposed to help players, there is currently a bug that is hurting the leveling-up process.
Apex Legends is aware that the bug is affecting gameplay for many in their community, and they are already looking into a fix for the bug. When the bug was first noticed, Apex Legends released a statement on Twitter addressing the overall issue.
We’re currently investigating an issue that popped up with yesterday’s launch of Hunted preventing @PlayApex players from receiving the correct rewards when leveling up
We’ll provide an update in this thread as soon as we have one. Appreciate your patience with these new changes— Respawn (@Respawn) August 10, 2022
Following that statement, they released another follow-up about the bug. While the company is working to fix the issue, it will likely not arrive in the game until sometime next week.
Quick update for you, legends: We’re still working on this one but were able to identify the cause and are aiming to roll out a fix next week. We’ll keep you updated when we have an exact day for the patch and thanks again for being patient with us here.

Issues within a game are common when there is a big patch such as the most recent for Apex Legends. The game introduced multiple new aspects to the game including the level cap increase, and even a new legend.
While the fix may not be coming this week, Apex will surely have a solution as soon as possible that can once again make the playing experience a success for their community.
