Apex Legends, Respawn newly released Battle Royale game has only be release a little over 10 days. During it’s stint so far it’s already making impressive strides. However it seems that there are some cons to go along with the game’s pro’s. The title seems to have already run into the problem of players cheating at the game.
While cheating can thing the experience of any game for players. Respawn is making a point of handling the issue currently for the new game and promises more disciplinary action for players that continue to break the rules. Since the game’s launch on February 5, the moderators have already banned more than 16,000 cheaters.
Respawn is also encouraging players to let them know if they encountering any cheaters to help resolve the issue. “If you run into a cheater, please try and capture the evidence and let us know
here. Even if you don’t get proof, get their ID and flag it and we can investigate the account.”
This might be a little difficult for players as the game does not yet have a reporting feature within the game yet. However, the community manager stated within a
reddit post that the studio “We have heard your feedback about a report feature in the game. I’ll just say that’s a very good idea.”
Also the post announced that a patch was on the way next week that would the improve the overall performance for the game although no mention of report feature was confirmed. The stated that they were immediately focused on “Improving stability, performance, and quality of life is a big priority for us and we have a lot of work to do.”
As you can imagine, when you drop your game out of nowhere and 25 million people show up in the first week, there’s going to be all kinds of issues, bugs, exploits, etc. discovered.
