Anna Williams is back and she has a new uneven haircut! Anna has been a fan favorite among the Tekken community for, well, her entire lifespan so whenever she’s not on the base roster people tend to make an outrcry (personally, I’m more of a Nina fan). Sadly, this wasn’t enough to get her on the Season 1 Tekken 8 DLC characters list, but it was good enough to have her be the first character in the Season 2 DLC pass, releasing on April 3rd, 2025.
As we can see, Anna has followed her sister Nina in terms of moveset and design. Dressed in a fancy new dress and quite the hairstyle, she also brings her rocket launcher (named Lovely Tom) from the Tekken 5 intro movie into her moveset to match Nina’s pistols. The rockets even have a lipstick kiss on them to really rub in that it’s a Tekken 5 reference. Anna seems to be following the trend among Tekken characters in general that leans on being more fantastical, bringing weapons (and a helicopter for her Rage Art) to a martial arts tournament.
As stated, Anna is but the first of the Season 2 DLC. We’ll also be getting 3 new characters and 2 new stages, with the next new stage releasing soon after Anna in Summer 2025. The next new characters will then all be released in a row coming out in Summer, Autumn, and Winter 2025 with the last new stage releasing in Winter as well. Hopefully those stages are free and aren’t locked behind money like the last one… but don’t get your hopes up.
Anna Williams is releasing April 3rd, 2025 but she’ll be available for early access on March 31st, 2025 so those wanting to try the younger Williams sister out can look forward to that.
