Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Release Date Announced

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, the first game for the franchise has received concrete release date. The game was initially announced during a Nintendo Direct presentation last month, but recently the official Twitter account for the game announced that the brand new title will release on November 22, for IOS and Android devices across the globe. Pocket Camp was slated to come out a bit earlier but unfortunately got delayed twice to coincide with the schedules for Fire Emblem Heroes and Super Mario Run.

Pre-registration for the game is also currently available for both platforms. Within the game players can manage and customize their very own characters and campsites with different buildings and furniture. A multiplayer feature will also allow players to exchange ID information in order to visit each others campsites. The game initially launched in Australia last month as a test run, and is now moving to larger markets. Nintendo states that the game will be updated with content regularly, and will include “seasonal events” along with furniture and outfit items that will be available for limited periods of time.

Pocket Camp will also feature microtransactions, like many other free to play games. Players can use physical currency to purchase “leaf tickets”in order to develop their characters and campsites faster. If players would rather not use real money, then they can still get the tickets through playing the game normally. However, one feature that players might not enjoy is that the game will require an internet connection to play.
