AndaSeat’s E3 Display Includes All of Its Latest Models, and an Upcoming LED-Lit Chair

For PC and console gamers, investing in a gaming chair can be a big decision. You might wonder: do chairs designed for gamers have more value than all those office store brands? Manufacturers like AndaSeat have proven that these tailored support systems are very needed – and newer models need to be built with the needs of every different type of gamer in mind.

We talked to AndaSeat at E3 to learn about the ten different styles and series they currently offer – and what features to look for whether you’re shopping for your first going chair or a longer-lasting replacement. AndaSeat started in 2007 by manufacturing race car seats, with seat designs to keep racing enthusiasts safe and comfortable. By 2012, they began looking into how they could produce higher quality, Tier 1 gaming chairs for modern day gamers.

As one of the leading Gaming Chair manufacturers in 2018, the AndaSeat company is known best for their long warranties, high quality, and competitive pricing. All AndaSeats are ergonomic chairs built to withstand up to 330lb of weight – with flexible sizes and shapes for all body types. Each chair is designed to be comfy and flexible as possible, with firmness and well-placed rests for maximum support. This starts with a very comfortable headrest pillow (some designs even come with memory foam) and lumbar cushion. At its core, AndaSeats have a PVC framework (the same wear, tear, scratch, and heat resistant material used in race car seats.) The chairs’ firmness also comes from its stainless steel base and high density moulding foam, which just feels firm and long-lasting.

Smaller features give the chair more value as a support system – for instance, forearm supports to relieve wrist pressure and muscle strain (what gamer doesn’t experience carpal tunnel?) Another great feature on some of their series is the completely adjustable height/width and 4D armrests with 360-turning. Rotate arms, snap them left or right, or even lay your chair near flat like a bed – with some chairs, it’s all possible.

If you’re in the market for a specialized gaming chair, it actually pays to look at what each chair is built for. Some chairs in AndaSeat’s series, specifically the “Kaiser” and chairs belonging to the “Dark” series are more akin to office chairs. They’re wider, with more wiggle room built in. The other chairs are built to help players assume the “gamer pose” while sitting, with a closer fit, and more rigid in their support.

AndaSeat’s E3 display also came with a look at the company’s future products. A new, unreleased model of chair was also shown, which should hopefully be out soon. This new chair has LED lights built into it, adding even more flair to a chair built for gaming. There are two models within that LED category, one with lights just on the top of the chair and one with lights additionally running down the sides of the chair. The company is simultaneously developing an app to accompany the chairs, allowing people to change the colors that the LEDs display whenever they want. The app isn’t ready yet either, but it should launch alongside the new chair.

Glenn Carreau: Hi! I'm Glenn: recent college grad specializing in interactive arts and media, writer, game creator and connoisseur, pop culture junkie, and semi-professional fan-artist and blogger. In my free time, I function as an unnecessarily specific gaming encyclopedia. I also play the violin, binge crime/detective procedural shows (still not sure why), and do a large amount of digital painting. I'm probably too attached to Dragon Age, but not really inclined to do anything about it. I'm a huge fan of cosplay, foxes, the prose of Jenny Lawson, and Strong Female Characters™.
