Frictional Games’ upcoming first person survival horror game Amnesia: The Bunker has been delayed again by two weeks. The game studio took to Twitter early Friday morning with the announcement, stating the delay was due to “unforeseen certification issues”. Frictional expressed the importance of the delay and that it would grant them enough time to keep the game issue-free when it is eventually shipped out.
“The extra time will allow us to rectify the problem and ensure the best possible game-play experience upon release,” said Frictional Games. “We thank you for your understanding and patience.”
Amnesia: The Bunker is now looking towards a June 6 release. Players will be able to get a better look at the game when its new free demo releases on Steam on May 22.
Set in a World War 1 bunker, players will need to overcome their fears as they face off against oppressing terrors stalking the dark corridors, search and use various tools and weapons at your disposal, and keep the lights on at all costs as they try to make their way out alive.
As the fourth installment in the cult-classic Amnesia horror franchise, fans can expect the same spine-chilling and anxiety-inducing scares in a more open world. Amnesia: The Bunker will release on Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, PlayStation, and Xbox on June 6, 2023.
