Amazon Italy has recently listed some leaked video games on their website, some of which have yet to be announced. The two biggest games that are currently listed are Bloodborne 2 and Sunset Overdrive 2. This was discovered by someone on Reddit.com where the listings have since been removed, but the pages on Amazon Italy are still available to check out. Both have placeholder dates for December 31, 2019, as well as being exclusive on their respective consoles, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Considering that Insomniac has been very busy with the development of Spider-Man, it’s unlikely that Sunset Overdrive 2 is legitimate. As for Bloodborne 2, it has long been rumored to be in development, but From Software has never confirmed its existence, also they have their hands full as well, developing the brand new IP, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
In addition, Amazon Italy has also listed a new Splinter Cell game. Many expected the game to be announced at E3 2018, but the event came and went with no word on it. Ubisoft hasn’t forgotten about their dormant series, but with so many other games on their plate right now, its more than likely that they will reveal a new game much later. Another video game that is listed is Dreams, the new IP from Media Molecule. Fans of the studio know them for the popular Little Big Planet series on the PlayStation 3 and 4, and have been waiting a long time for this game to release. The listing actually has a release date for the game, February 22, 2019. This would put it on the same release day with some huge titles, such as Anthem, Crackdown 3, Days Gone, and Metro Exodus. Media Molecule has been quiet for a while on the game, so it’s possible that we’ll get an announcement soon.
Continuing with more leaks, Dark Souls: Remastered for the Nintendo Switch, as well as its Solaire Amiibo, are listed with the tentative release date of August 31, 2018. From Software has not officially announced anything pertaining to a release date, so unless they say something very soon, these dates are not likely to be true. Lastly, Amazon Italy also listed the Fortnite PlayStation 4 Bundle, which was ironically leaked nine days ago on the official PlayStation Italian Facebook Page. Of all the listings, this is the one that is the most expected to pass, with a release of July 2018, however that date might change.
This isn’t the first time that a website has leaked a video game or a release date ahead of a company, as just a couple of months ago, Walmart Canada leaked multiple games that were showcased at E3 2018. It’s also important to note that no official announcements have been made in regards to any of these listings. It’ll be interesting to see what happens from here, and how the video game companies/studios will react to this.
