Alien Pixel Studios Reaches 95% Funding for Unbound: Worlds Apart

Alien Pixel Studios have nearly reached their funding goal for their multi-dimensional platformer project titled Unbound: Worlds Apart. The “small but ambitious” team of two announced that their Kickstarter campaign for the game had reached 90% funding.

With about two weeks left until the campaign ends, the studio is hopeful that they can reach their goal, but also appreciative for the tremendous support and encouragement from the community. The campaign has since reached 95% funding and counting.

Unbound: Worlds Apart is a dark-fantasy puzzle game that follows the journey of Soli, the only being who remains untainted by evil. He alone possesses a special power: the ability to open portals to various dimensions. According to the studio, the young wizard learns of a “horrible catastrophe” responsible for the dark plague unleashed on their realm. After witnessing the devastating effects, Soli sets out on a journey to confront, and hopefully eliminate, this great evil.

Along the way, Soli will be confronted by difficult obstacles that will block his path. During such times, he can use his cross-dimensional powers to alter the space around him. By opening portals, he can discover secrets ways around the path as well as evading enemies. These portals offer a variety of abilities such as inverting gravity, super strength, and night vision.  All of these abilities could prove quite useful when venturing through unexplored territories. Some portals even have the power to change the behavior of landscape and creatures around Soli. Help him learn to manipulate time and space, and navigate his way through the Unbound world in hopes to bring peace back to his homelands.

The studio has released a demo of the game available for PC players, but only on Windows. This demo can be found by visiting the project’s Kickstarter page or by clicking here. The completed version of the game will later be released for Linux and Mac users as well. All three versions will be accessible, via the Steam Store, upon the game’s launch which is currently estimated for May of 2020.
