The latest gameplay trailer for the long-awaited Alan Wake 2 was recently revealed by Remedy Entertainment and Epic Games at yesterday’s Xbox Partner Preview event. Alan Wake 2 thrusts players into a game powered by modern systems and the Northlight engine.
Players follow the story of the FBI agent Saga Anderson and the prolific lost writer Alan Wake, as they both try to make sense of the eerie events plaguing the US’s Pacific Northwest region and the mysterious connection between their separate realities.
The gameplay trailer gives players a preview on Alan Wake 2’s unique gameplay. When playing as Saga, players focus on information gathering in a streamlined survival horror experience. Players are introduced to her unique “story explainer, hints system, and miniature detective game mechanic called the Mind Place, in contrast Alan Wake’s ppl puzzle filled play style.
Additionally, New Game+ content for Alan Wake 2 was announced following the trailer’s reveal. While more information on the New Game+ content will be revealed soon, Remedy gave players a sneak peek on its features.

Players will be able to play a new Nightmare difficulty level with a new alternative narrative, with new Manuscript pages and new video content. Players can expect to keep all unlocked weapons and upgrades.
Alan Wake 2 is set to release tomorrow October 27 for PC via Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Additionally, players can experience the original Alan Wake through its recent remaster on the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One consoles.
