After a Marvel-themed season 4 for Fortnite: Chapter 2, the last major event was having to take on Galactus with some of Marvel’s Mightiest Heroes including Iron Man, Wolverine, and Thor. Afterward, a timer counted down what’s coming next to Fortnite with the next season. Now, Season 5 of Fortnite: Chapter 2 has been officially revealed, themed after the greatest hunters from across realities including The Mandalorian.
Fighting Galactus was a very different affair from previous events. Typically, things would revolve around a normal match on Fortnite, but things were different this time around. Players took control of a Battle Bus and fought their way all over Galactus until eventually, he fell and exposed the Zero Point, which is why things are so diverse now in the game.
New locations around the map include battling for honor in an ancient arena, sharpening your survival skills in the jungle, and exploring the shifting crystalline sands flowing from the exposed Zero Point. Players will be able to take on quests and bounties, gain intel on the surroundings, or hire them to be your ally. You can also challenge them to earn rewards. Completing quests and bounties, eliminating players, or finding hidden stashes rewards you with bars that you can use to get new exotic weapons, upgrades, intel, services, and more.
The new weapons let players attack in novel ways. The Dragon’s Breath lets you unleash your fiery rage. You can switch between melee and ranged with The Mandalorian’s Amban Sniper Rifle just like he does on the show. The Night Hawk lets you track your target. More weapons will be released throughout the season.
More Hunters will be brought into the game throughout the season, all from across the realities beyond. Who will be next?
