Canadian Developer Frima Studios behind Zombie Tycoon 2, will release its 2D co-op adventure puzzle/platformer, Chariot, for PlayStation 4 this fall, announced via the PlayStation Blog by executive producer Martin Brouard. Chariot is also coming soon to the Xbox One via ID@Xbox, but unknown when that version will be released.
Chariot, has players work together to guide a chariot through underground levels by pushing, pulling, riding, and reeling their chariot along. The game follows the story of a princess who has to carry her father’s remains to his final resting place. The princess has the help from her fiancé in order to move the chariot through a series of underground mazes to be able to finally lay His Majesty to the best burial spot. You are able to play multiplayer with this game but it also includes single-player options. Though multiplayer allows you to work together, it will not be an online multiplayer, it will instead be a couch co-op, which allows players to interact, strategize, and debate with each other on the next move.
“However, the king’s ghost, bound to the chariot, has quite a temper and insists that he be buried with vast amounts of riches. Exploring and collecting loot in the caves therefore becomes an essential part of the game.”
The idea for Chariot came from creative lead Philippe Dion, which at the beginning was just entirely done with stick figures to now being the game it has become, it made the team enjoy playing together, and the game had won the team over.

Martin Brouard says that there will be more details to come about the game as it nears its launch. Brouard also mentions that “The release date isn’t set in stone, but you can expect Chariot to hit PS4 this Fall.”
