Additional Final Fantasy XV, Original Characters, Join Final Fantasy Brave Exvius

Six more characters are slated to arrive in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, half from Final Fantasy XV and the rest unique to the mobile title in an upcoming event featuring an increased drop rate for rare units.

Starting Friday, Nov. 24, FFBE‘s event kicks off with a permanent, three-fold drop rate increase for the game’s rainbow crystals, an item essential for obtaining powerful characters. The mobile game consists of series-spanning units, who are added to players’ parties through a ‘summon’ system that exchanges in-game currency for more characters picked at random. Other series have been represented as well, such as Brave FrontierCrystal DefendersNieR: Automata and Secret of Mana. Even pop star Ariana Grande is a part of the game’s expansive roster.

FFXV‘s Cor, Gladiolus and Iris will be available in the next few weeks in an event themed after the 2016 release while Noctis, who was previously added to FFBE, gains new abilities and boosts to existing abilities. However, Noctis’ new abilities were not detailed, nor the buffs to his current skills. Other new units are original characters in FFBE, Aura, Guromu and Roy. The FFBE originals will be available through the game’s “Featured Summon” tab.

The summon feature will also have a special Black Friday bundle available when the update hits this week. A 10+1 Summon Ticket, 10 percent Trust Moogle, ability and weapon will be available for purchase with in-game currency, although a figure was not given. Players can expect other deals throughout the end of November, with discounts reaching upwards of 60 percent off.

Rounding out the update is the announcement of the final Fan Festa celebrating the game’s first anniversary. The last fan celebration is scheduled for Dec. 9 at The Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles. Final Fantasy Brave Exvius released for territories outside of Japan in June 2016.
