Developer BINGOBELL and publisher Microids have released an announcement trailer for their open-world action adventure game KAKU: Ancient Seal confirming the title’s launch date as October 17. Gematsu reports the title is set for launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with the PlayStation 5 receiving a physical edition. It has also been confirmed that developer SneakyBox has overseen this port to consoles as the title originally launched on PC July 12, 2024.

KAKU: Ancient Seal is set in a primordial fantasy world created by elemental power,struck by a calamity that disperses the elemental souls, causing the world to split into four elemental continents and leading to the disappearance of the world’s creator, or ‘The Creator Saga’. Players assume the role of Kaku, a young boy chosen by prophecy to find the lost elemental souls and restore balance to a shattered world. He’s accompanied by his flying pig, Piggy, and can even harness the power of the “Creator Saga.” Kaku’s goal is to restore balance to his world, which was shattered by a mysterious calamity and the disappearance of the Creator Saga. 

In KAKU: Ancient Seal players will fight using combos, and tailor their combat style with the use of skill trees. Equipment can be paired with rune stones and elemental pellets to hit weaknesses. Musou power will enable players to increase speed, power and achieve invincibility.

With developer BINGOBELL handing the reins over to SneakyBox both teams have aimed to broaden the reach of the already successful open-world role-playing game. The teams have sought to bring over the experience in its fullness, including its exploration, battle mechanics, and puzzle elements. The teams have sweetened the deal for collectors with the coveted physical edition. Fans and newcomers need only wait a few short months for the title’s release.
