The upcoming action-adventure role-playing game Lost Soul Aside has been delayed from its originally slated release date of May 30. Gematsu reports that Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Ultizero Games have announced that the title will be released on August 29 for PlayStation 5 and PC.
Lost Soul Aside is set in a world facing invasion from interdimensional beings known as Voidrax. Players will assume the role of Kaser, a warrior with a symbiotic relationship with a sentient crystal dragon named Arena. Kaser’s goal is to save his sister and humanity from the Voidrax with Arena’s abilities to transform into powerful weapons.
Ultizero Games CEO and game director Yang Bing said a statement shared on Gematsu. “We are truly grateful for the positive response we’ve received from players all over the world since we announced Lost Soul Aside,” and “We remain committed to delivering a high-quality game experience. To match the standards Ultizero Games have set for ourselves, we are going to take some additional time to polish the game. Lost Soul Aside will now release on August 29, 2025. We want to express our heartfelt thanks to our fans waiting for the launch.”
Lost Soul Aside features a character skill tree that can be customized to the player’s preference. Weapons feature customizable appearances through ‘weapon fragments’. Timing your inputs will grant players more successive damage in high impact-burst. PlayStation 5 features feedback for the adaptive triggers when in battle, as well as 3D spatial audio.
It may be noted that Lost Soul Aside began as a solo project for the game’s director Yang Bing and has since expanded. The title is also another ambitious title born of the Sony Interactive Entertainment’s China Hero Project, Supporting China-based developers. With the title showing great polish, and inspiration from titles like Final Fantasy and Devil May Cry there’s no doubt this wait is not going to stop the fans.
