For fans of retro games but enjoy modern effects, an upcoming stealth game coming out of the newly formed Mexican development company, Merlino Games, might be right up your alley. The Chameleon is a stealth game set in the 70s and is coming to PC this summer.
The Chameleon: Transform into your enemies and sneak your way out of a secret facility!

As mentioned above, The Chameleon is a game all about stealth where players can transform into any enemies they encounter, dash, or punch their way to the end – all while wearing a fashionable Hawaiian shirt. Players will wake up in a secret facility with no memory of what has happened or why they are there. All they know is that they have to evacuate, however, there are robotic security guards swarming the facility who are intent on halting any attempt at an escape. The game is quite short, only 2-3 hours long, however, there are many secrets to discover during your escape about the mysterious facility which prompt multiple playthroughs to find them all. There are also unique achievements to unlock by using different gameplay tactics like remaining undetected or defeating all enemies.
Besides the stealth aspect, another key feature of The Chameleon is the apparent retro design with the fat pixels. The game is set in the 70s and the graphics and original soundtrack reinforce the setting as they are reminiscent of retro games. However, The Chameleon does not purely have retro graphics, there are some modern effects sprinkled in like volumetric lights and particles for a nicer gameplay experience. There is also the choice to change to hi-res graphics for better accessibility.
