Twilight Monk takes place in the land of Speria which has become rampant with monster invasions shrouding the land in darkness. You assume the role of protector monk descendant Raziel Tenza with the goal of stopping the traitor Nox and resolving the conflict in and outside the monks.
Director and creator of Twilight Monk, Trent Kanuiga recently shared his inspiration for the design behind Raziel Tenza and Twilight Monk’s creation, stating “The kind of 90’s style big feet, big hands, and four-fingered hands really came from creed in fact Twilight Monk was originally a sequel to the creed comic I had gotten my start doing when I was a teenager in high school. So it was really a universe, within the universe of creed and that was the original intention. I’d always loved drawing kung fu characters, martial arts characters and dragons. This was not something you could pitch in an American comic book.”
Unlocking new skills will open pathways, treasures, and scrolls. Twilight Monk features a classic JRPG-inspired overworld, enemy encounters are made at random and you’ll be teleported to a battle arena each battle. Twilight Monk is set in a hand-drawn world while blending 2.5D elements.
Twilight Monk is a project that has been in the making over the past twenty years. It will be interesting to see how developer Aquatic Moon blends its comic book roots into the 2.5D world; All of this coupled with the strategy play of a role-playing game, players may have something fresh and exciting to look forward to.
