2020 Indie World Showcase Announces Among Us and More on Nintendo Switch

This years Indie World Showcase was full of new and upcoming games that Nintendo Switch players should expect to play as early as this evening.

Starting the showcase was the announcement of Spelunky 2, the action-adventure game that will allow players to explore vast caverns full of monsters, traps, and more importantly treasure. Along with Spelunky 2, the original Spelunky will also be coming to Nintendo Switch. The games will allow for multiplayer game modes and offer Daily Challenges. Players can expect to play both in the Summer of 2021.

For cat lover, Nintendo announced two cat themed games: Fisti-Fluffs and Calico. Fisti-Fluffs will allow players to customize and play as cats while they hysterically brawl it out on various maps. Calico will allow for players to open their own cat-themed café, and stroll through the world and find cats to add to their café. Calico will also allow players to design their café to fill with delicious treats and felines. Fisti-Fluffs will release in early 2021 but Calico will be available for play as early as today.

Nintendo announced Very Very Valet, a multiplayer game designed for players to test their speed against their friends in vehicles they will acquire by being “professional” valet’s. People interested in playing Very Very Valet will have to wait till early 2021.

Nintendo also announced some more serious themed games via: Tunche, Cyber Shadow, Gnosia, Happy Game, Super Meat Boy Forever, and Grindstone. Tunche will follow a group of young adventures in search of the legendary Tunche monster in the rainforest, players will be able to play this action themed game in March of 2021. Cyber Shadow will follow a ninja in a world taken over by an evil scientist where players will need to slash and dash their way to victory. Cyber Shadow will be available January 26 2021.

Gnosia will be a space roleplaying themed horror game that players will be able to play chapters within 5-15 minutes. Gnosia will be available early 2021. Following the horror theme, Happy Game will follow a young child through a nightmare themed world where he will have to solve puzzles to escape the horror; Happy Game will be available in Spring of 2021.

Nintendo also announced a couple of challenging games: Super Meat Boy Forever and Grindstone. Super Meat Boy Forever will see players dodging all sorts of traps to help Meat Boy escape, Super Meat Boy Forever will be available later this month. Grindstone is a puzzle type game that will have players explore over 200 levels which players will be able to explore and compete in the leaderboards as early as today.
