Leading up to The Game Awards 2019, producer Geoff Keighley had AMA on Reddit, answering whatever questions anyone had about the show. During the AMA, it was revealed that there would be 10 new games revealed during the show. Keighley said, “We have a bunch of brand new games being announced at the show. There are around 10 new games/projects being revealed if you want to count the things no one has heard about yet.” The next day, Keighley took to Twitter and answered more questions about the upcoming show and updated the number of games being revealed to 15.
One of the games that might get revealed is the next Batman game. Many were curious when WB Montreal teased something during Batman day earlier this year, but nothing has been revealed as of yet. There was speculation that the game would get revealed during the last State of Play since the two events occurred around the same time, but nothing came of it. Another game that was leaked and maybe was going to be revealed at The Game Awards is the remake of Resident Evil 3 which is supposedly a full remake similar to the Resident Evil 2 remake that came out earlier this year.
Speaking of State of Play, PlayStation has revealed that the last State of Play of the year is taking place on Tuesday, December 10, at 6:00 am Pacific Time. PlayStation said that there will be 20+ minutes of news, game reveals, and more. PlayStation also made it very clear that there won’t be any information about the PlayStation 5 which will be released in Holiday 2020. Geoff Keighley said:
So there may be a possibility that we may get teasers for some things and then get the full reveal during The Game Awards. The Game Awards will take place on Thursday, December 12, at 8:30 pm ET / 5:30 pm PT. You can find all of the nominees here.
