Curse of the Dead Gods originally opened for early access in the March of 2020 on Steam. But earlier today, Passtech Games and Focus Home Interactive have announced that the full release date is confirmed for February 23 – only a little more than a month away. For players of the early access, one thing to look forward to in the full release is the reveal of the ending of the game.
Curse of the Dead Gods is very comparable to Hades, as both are top-down, roguelike games. Curse of the Dead Gods is set in the present-day and follows a greedy, treasure hunter on their journey through a seemingly infinite labyrinth of a temple filled with many deadly apparatuses. Players will need to collect swords, spears, bows, and more in order to fight their way through tons of enemies and traps. All of this has to be done while being under the influence of various curses, making the journey even more perilous.
While the early access of Curse of the Dead Gods was only available on Steam, the final release will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. If that is too long for eager players to wait, PC gamers can purchase it right now for $17.99 up until January 22. It is unconfirmed if that will be the final price.
