If you weren’t aware, there are a lot of bugs and glitches in Cyberpunk 2077. One recently discovered bug involves save files being too big that they would become corrupted and unusable. Ever since the launch of the game, CD Projekt Red has been releasing patches and updates to make the game better. The latest hotfix, 1.06 has been released and it has addressed the save file issue.

Hotfix 1.06 doesn’t do a lot but for the Second Conflict quest, Dum Dum will no longer go missing from the Totentanz entrance. The Console-specific fix improves memory management and stability, resulting in fewer crashes. The PC-specific fix removes the 8 MB save file size limit which is the size when players said that their save files became corrupted and unusable. CD Projekt Red did note that while this fixes the bug, this is not going to fix save files that were corrupted before the update.
Hotfix 1.06 is the third update to Cyberpunk 2077. Hotfix 1.04 and 1.05 did a lot to address many of the bugs and glitches that gamers were having. They also did a lot to make the gameplay a smoother experience with improved stability so the game stops crashing. CD Projekt Red’s plan for fixing the game includes these hotfix updates as well as two big updates that they said would get rid of the majority of bugs and glitches that were found. These patches will be coming out next year; the first patch will release in January and patch #2 will be released in February. CD Projekt Red said that these patches “won’t make the game on last-gen look like it’s running on a high-spec PC or next-gen console, but it will be closer to the experience than it is now.”
