Last week, Ubisoft revealed that the latest Ubisoft Forward event would be happening soon and they gave us a rundown of what we could expect for the event. The biggest thing that they announced was the first look at Immortals Fenyx Rising, formerly known as Gods & Monsters when it was revealed last year. They also announced updates to games such as Watch Dogs: Legion, Hyper Scape, Rainbow Six Siege, and more. Here is a rundown of everything that was revealed during the presentation.
First up was the official first look at Immortals Fenyx Rising. It is a third-person, open-world, action-adventure game set in Greek mythology. Players will star as Fenyx who is destined to save the gods from Typhon, the deadliest Titan in mythology.
As Fenyx, you’ll be able to customize how you look and how you play by discovering unique pieces of gear and cosmetics, legendary weapons, and earning the blessing of the gods which grants Fenyx with abilities that you can utilize in combat.
The game is set in an epic, vibrant, and stylized open-world filled with secrets, puzzles, and stories, very reminiscent of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, rooted in Greek mythology.
The game is set to release on December 3, 2020, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Google Stadia. There will be a free demo available later in the year exclusively on Google Stadia before the game’s launch.
As with many things related to Ubisoft, something got leaked prior to the official reveal. Last week, a new rumor revealed that a remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time would be announced and like most Ubisoft related leaks, it turned out to be true.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is real and it is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on January 21, 2021. This is the first game that Ubisoft has remade. Talking about what’s new and what’s old, the developers said that they have respected the original game’s story and design but have updated and enhanced the gameplay and combat.
Hyper Scape is getting a new limited-time mode called Turbo Mode. The mode brings everything up to 11 where all loot is already maxed out, The zones will close faster, and health regenerates faster. All of this leads to a faster crown victory. Turbo Mode is coming to Hyper Scape on September 15.
Rainbow Six Siege is getting another big esports addition with the announcement of the Rainbow Six World Cup coming Summer 2021. 45 countries will compete in the Qualifier Stage. 20 countries will make it to the Final Stage which will kick off in the Summer next year.
The latest update, Operation Shadow Legacy is also now live. The new update brings in Sam Fisher under the callsign “Zero.” He is a medium speed, medium armor Attacker that is equipped with a SC-3000K assault rifle or an MP7 as his primary weapon, and a 5.7 USG sidearm with a suppressor as a secondary. His gadget, the Argus launcher can be fired into breakable and reinforced surfaces to burrow through and create camera vision on both sides of the barrier.
