Today, the E3 Coliseum 2019 kicked off with a panel of the upcoming game Gears 5 coming September 10. During the panel, Rod Fergusson, shared more details about the new characters coming to Gears 5 as well as new information about Escape, the new game mode that was revealed during the Xbox E3 Briefing.

The panel started focusing on Escape, the new co-op experience coming to Gears 5, talking about the three new characters that players will be able to play, Lahnni, Mac, Keegan and . Each character has a role that they fit into. Lahnni is the attacker and her ultimate is the electric knife that was showcased in the trailer. Mac is tank equipped with a barrier shield and Keegan is a support class that will be equipped with a resupply station which Rod said was very important because you start Escape with just a pistol and a knife and ammo is very scarce. Escape will have eight options for players to go through.

The Gears 5 spotlight during the Briefing also revealed a new bonus character pack of the upcoming movie Terminator: Dark Fate. The first look at the Terminator was shared. Sarah Conner was also revealed as part of the pack. She will be voiced by Linda Hamilton. Then, Rod introduced a new character, Fahz. He was briefly shown in the cinematic trailer shared at E3 2018. He is voiced by Rahul Kohli from iZombie. The reveal ended with a cutscene where Fahz is first introduced in the game.
