THQ Nordic recently announced that they would be revealing three unannounced games in light of E3 2019. Although the company dropped some vague hits on what they might be, speculation as well as a couple leaks also gave us a clue as to what these titles might be.
But even though the leak was posted some time ago, the actual confirmation that leak holds true is what counts. Still, THQ Nordic manages to surprise us with the announcement of Spongebob Squarepants: Battle For Bikini Bottom Rehydrated as one of their new titles. Then the same day as the Google Stadia Presentation they announced Darksiders: Genesis which was unfortunately leaked.
But one title that was also previously leaked to be in the works for THQ Nordic still made a big impact when it was announced today. Destroy All Humans was officially confirmed to be getting a remake when THQ dropped a cinematic trailer of Crypto-137 terrorizing a small town in a musical way. The company revealed that the game will be a remake of the original 2005 title and it will stick faithfully to it. For those unfamiliar with the title, the game’s description reads:
“The cult-classic returns! Terrorize the people of 1950s Earth in the role of the evil alien Crypto-137. Harvest their DNA and bring down the US government in the faithful remake of the legendary alien invasion action adventure. Annihilate puny humans using an assortment of alien weaponry and psychic abilities. Reduce their cities to rubble with your flying Saucer! One giant step on mankind!”
There is no release date set in stone for the title, but it did receive a 2020 release window at the end of it’s trailer. This seems that it is the final game that THQ Nordic is planning to reveal at the moment. While fans would love to see more from them there are many other announcements on the horizon from other companies lined up for a big reveal now that we are finally on the verge of E3 2019.
