It has been over 30 years since Geese Howard died in Real Bout Fatal Fury and yet he still somehow manages to keep getting into new games! His latest appearance is in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, with this version of Geese is being Nightmare Geese, haunting the dreams of his son, his successors, and his eternal rival Terry Bogard.
From the short gameplay preview SNK faithful will see all the moves we know and love from Geese: Reppuken, Double Reppuken, the jumping slash, the chokeslam, Rashoumon. Funnily enough we don’t actually see the move he made famous, Raging Storm, though I’m almost certain he has it otherwise it wouldn’t really be a Geese Howard appearance, would it?
Though, while I could talk about Geese Howard all day, that’s not the only update we’ve been brought by SNK. The connection between SNK and Capcom grows deeper as the Street Fighter collaboration brings City of the Wolves even more goodies from Street Fighter 6.
We’ve got a Luke costume for Rock and a Juri costume for Preecha, a collab story featuring Street Fighter 6’s main villain JP (thank God he’s not actually in the game to break the meta there too), and some fun cameos from SF6’s World Tour like the boxhead thugs, the living refrigerators, and Carlos Miyamoto.
Oh and of course, a Satsui No Hado infused Terry Bogard bonus boss named the “Kage Wolf”. SNK bosses are notoriously difficult, to the point that “SNK boss” is a term reserved for any boss that’s insanely difficult, so no doubt the Kage Wolf is going to cause some hair pulling as players make their way through City of the Wolves’ single player content.
This is a great update patch for City of the Wolves, which is trucking along at a steady pace. The Street Fighter collab should go live at the same time as Geese’s release on February 26th, 2026.
