

Since its release in 2023, My Hero Ultra Rumble has kept its gameplay fresh through a series of updates included in the seasons of the game. Based off of the extremely popular series, My Hero Academia, My Hero Ultra Rumble features the characters as playable fighters in a battle royale setting, a first for the franchise. In their newest trailer for the upcoming Season 15, the team reveals the newest character, Fumikage Tokoyami, will be playable in the next update.
The trailer starts with an exciting reveal, showing off the new map that comes with the season before jumping straight into gameplay for the newest character. Fumikage Tokoyami dashing and slashing enemies in close quarters. His special action, Twin Wings of the Black Arm allows him to glide down to meet his enemies. He also has the quirk skill Ragnarok, which shoots up pillars of shadow to his foes from far away. Jet Black Shadow Shield generates a barrier in front of Fumikage and Spiral Shadow Born of the Gloaming catches an enemy in a whirlwind of darkness. Finally, his incredibly mobility is shown off with Black Ankh, letting him dash across vast distances extremely quickly.
Following the introduction to Fumikage’s move set, the trailer shows off some of the new costumes coming for old and new characters. Given special attention are the Cyber Hero costumes given to Mirio Togata, Nejire Hado, and Tamaki Amajiki. This leads into a showcase of the new Fairy battle skill, boasting ranged options and support abilities. Finally, the new stage, Neo Academia, is shown off in the midst of a battle.
My Hero Ultra Rumble allows players to enjoy matches as their favorite heroes and villains from My Hero Academia, making the more the developers add the better for those looking to get into the game. Season 15 is set to begin on January 1st, with additional updates coming throughout February.
