Hyper Light Breaker has recently resurfaced,  Its publisher Arc Games and developer Heart Machine have released a brand new trailer promoting the game’s early access release next week on January 14. The roguelite mulitplayer action title is scheduled for release exclusively on PC.

Hyper Light Breaker is set in a post-apocalyptic world torn by ancient wars. You are a breaker, a being tasked with restoring humanity. Gematsu reports that players who join the game in early access will receive three exclusive breakers with stat buffing sycom companions.

From a recent interview conducted at Gamerant, lead technical artist of Hyper Light Breaker, Len White comments on managing aspects of the game’s changing world. “ Not having absolute control of where everything ends up in the world is a big challenge of procedural generation. Making sure combat and traversal through the world are not handicapped by randomized terrain and placement of sometimes very large environmental assets required a lot of iteration and tuning of our algorithms and data. We also developed a system of directed proceduralism that let us design very rough layouts for maps that would then be procedurally fleshed out to final form.”

Publisher Arc Games and  developer Heart Machine will be offering a Hyper Light Breaker Bundle beginning  January 14 to January 28  including their previous title  Hyper Light Drifter for $29.99 on Steam.

The development team at Heart Machine have gone to great lengths to  ensure its world is crafted with care and have even  ensured an excellent audio experience as described in the interview with audio lead Alex Johnson“We always considered the sounds to be emanating from real devices, real characters. To add depth, we used retro techniques such as FM synthesis, frequency shifting, and ring modulation.” This is an indie team with the expertise that may satisfy fans come next week.
