Publisher Super Rare Originals and developer snekflat have announced the console release date for their indie exploration-adventure game Tiny Terry’s Turbo Trip. The title, previously released on PC in May is now scheduled for release on the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch on February 13.
The setting of Tiny Terry’s Turbo Trip is Sprankelwater, a small town. You’ll assume the role of Terry, a dreamer whose goal is to launch himself into the cosmos using a vehicle of his own invention.
Found in an interview with MinimapGaming, snekflat developer Lars Korendijk had this to say when inquired about the work to create Tiny Terry’s Turbo Trip “I’m a solo developer so I made the whole game and my colleague there made the music. You start out with an idea and it keeps building on top of each other until it’s done, and it keeps changing all the time.” when asked about how he feels about the solo development nature of working on the game, Lars responded “You can really hone in on what you want to make and don’t necessarily have to check in with other people ‘like, do you also like this?’ you can just really focus and if you let that go on for long enough I think a good game will come out.”
Gematsu reports Tiny Terry’s Turbo Trip features vehicle transformation and car upgrades through item collection and a featured soundtrack from composer Thomas de Waard.
The work done to create the world of Tiny Terry’s Turbo Trip is a work of the creative mind’s of Lars Korendijk and Thomas de Waard, ranging from design, composition and even going as far as to lend their voice work. This is the duo’s second foray into game design following the release of Wuppo in 2016. The console release of Tiny Terry’s Turbo Trip could draw in existing fans and certainly newcomers for this adventure title.
