Publisher Bandai Namco and developer Game Studio have released an eleven minute gameplay trailer for their third-person mech extraction shooter SYNDUALITY: Echo of Ada. The gameplay trailer is titled “Systems Overview” and an open network test for the game began December 12 running through to December 20. Fans who have preordered the game will be granted a time extension for the test that lasts until the 22 according to Gematsu.
The Setting of SYNDUALITY: Echo of Ada is the year 2222 in the ruins of Amasia. You assume the role of a ‘Drifter’ paired with your AI companion Magus you are tasked with locating the rare resource AO crystals and fighting human eaters known as ‘Enders’. Players will experience combat from within a CRADLECOFFIN, special mechs that are piloted with the assistance of Magus. An interview on Famitsu reveals director Yosuke Futami’s sense of direction with the Magus “I also wanted to draw a contrast as a story. In the main story, the player and their own Magus will depict the drama of each player. However, it is not conveyed from within the game how the player interacts with other Magus.”
Your Magus companion will support you in exploration, scavenging, and battle; Both appearances and personalities are customizable and will provide analysis for your sorties.Your CRADLECOFFIN helps traverse the terrain, with varying endurance levels, load capacity, and operation time. Weapons and parts can be crafted in the garage through resource collection.
Fans of the Mecha genre may have found themselves a title to celebrate. SYNDUALITY: Echo of Ada is an online multiplayer game, though the director has confirmed an offline mode for the end of its service. The full game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on January 23 2025 players who purchase the Deluxe Edition will be able to access the game on January 16 2025.
