This year, a total of 96 different games were nominated for The Game Awards 2024 with Astro Bot and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth leading all with 7 nominations each. This year saw the reveal of The Witcher 4, Split Fiction, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, and more. After everything has been said and done. Astro Bot won the most awards this year, winning 4 of the 7 categories they were nominated for including the coveted Game of the Year award.

In addition to Game of the Year, Astro Bot also won Best Game Direction, Best Action/Adventure, and Best Family Game.

Metaphor ReFantazio and Balatro each took home 3 awards. Metaphor ReFantazio won Best Art Direction, Best Narrative, and Best RPG. Balatro took home Best Mobile Game, Best Debut Indie Game, and Best Independent Game.

Black Myth Wukong, Helldivers II, and Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II each took home 2 awards.
