It looks like we could be in store for some more remakes. Forever Entertainment President and CEO Zbigniew Dębicki recently sat down with well-known Japanese publication Famitsu and translated by Nintendo Everything, where he gave some insight as to how his Polish-based studio worked on mostly Japanese IPs and recreated them for the modern market. He also mentioned that he is working on remaking more and that they might reveal a brand-new one before the year ends. “There are really too many titles I want to release, even narrowing it down to just ten would be difficult (laughs). Well, I think even during this year we’ll be able to announce a new remake, so players can look forward to that!”

For those who don’t know, Forever Entertainment is a publisher based out of Poland and has made a name for themselves in recent years for partnering with studios to help them release remakes of classic titles. Perhaps the biggest one that they’ve been involved with was Panzer Dragoon: Remake, which released in 2020. The reason as to why this particular title stands out more than some others is due to the fact that it was essentially trapped hardware from several generations ago. It wasn’t until the remake that the title was finally made readily available on PC and modern consoles across the market.
Other well-known remakes that Forever Entertainment has been associated with include The House of the Dead which launched last year in 2022, and Front Mission: Remake, which also released the same year. The studio is currently working on the second installment of Front Mission: Remake, Front Mission 2, and a third entry is also apparently in the works. Hopefully, we’ll hear more about this supposed new remake title very soon, or at the very least, at the end of the year during The Game Awards 2023.
