The Cyberpunk 2077 redemption arc continues at The Game Awards tonight. CD Projekt Red brought a brand new look at Cyberpunk’s sole expansion, Phantom Liberty. More detail about the story and new locations were revealed during this trailer. But the main takeaway is that Knuckles himself, Idris Elba, will be playing a main side character in the upcoming expansion. Still no set-in-stone date for the expansion, but it is still planned for 2023. The trailer will be posted below.
New story info has been revealed mere minutes after the trailer’s reveal. The Expansion will primarily take place in Night City’s Dogtown, a new section of the dystopian free state on the Western Border of the New United States of America. Idris Elba’s character has been given more detail, as NUSA vet Solomon Reed, the only person you can trust in this upcoming espionage survival adventure, listening to him will be the difference in life or death. We also got more footage of returning characters, mainly Johnny Sliverhands, played once again by the breathtaking Keanu Reeves. The expansion will be releasing only for next-gen systems PS5 & Xbox Series X|S, given the launch woes on both Xbox One and PS4 back in 2020, along with PC sometime in 2023.
