Following multiple years with no in-person event due to the COVID-19 pandemic, E3 2023 is set to make a return to in-person on June 13-16, 2023. Following E3’s cancellation last year, the ESA president said that the show would be returning in 2023. Then, it was revealed that organizer ReedPop would be partnering with the ESA to help plan the event. ReedPop has worked on multiple events such as PAX, New York Comic-Con, and Star Wars Celebration. Now the organizers behind the event have revealed the first details regarding E3’s return as an in-person event.

E3 2023 will be split across its four days. The first two days will be for business only. The third day will be a business/consumer day, while the fourth will be purely just for consumers.
One half of the LACC is going to be entirely dedicated to business with quieter, more comfortable booths, areas to connect and network and grab a coffee. The other half will be the spectacular E3 that you’re used to. For the first two days, this will only be available for business attendees only.
There will also be a new dedicated meeting space where attendees can connect using the E3 app and hold meetings.
Fans will be able to attend E3 2023 on Thursday and Friday. There will be elements planned outside of the LACC plus numerous game presentations that fans can watch in-person or online during the final two days. The show is also aiming to be more accessible for indies and indie publishers to showcase titles in the Concourse Hall. This will also be open to gamers.
Before E3 2023, the organizers also confirmed that “partnered digital events and showcases will precede the show starting June 11.”
