Sega hasn’t been doing so hot lately, with the company poised to lay off 300 employees and shut down its San Francisco office in light of dwindling profits. As such, it looks like they’re hoping for a temporary boost in revenue through a Steam Sale of their entire catalogue.
The sale encompasses everything from Alien Isolation and Warhammer: Dawn of War to old Sega classics like Jet Set Radio, Altered Beast and ESWAT. Alien Isolation, in particular, is on sale at a mouth watering 75% discount, while its Season Pass is also discounted at 50%.
More dubiously is Aliens: Colonial Marines and Alien vs Predator 2010, two subpar Alien games that were temporarily removed from Steam a few months ago. Both are now available for the price of a Happy Meal at a 75% discount.
Most tantalizing of all, however, is the Sega Super Bundle, a packaged deal that includes nearly a thousand dollars worth of games for a mere $80. This bundle includes a massive catalogue of classic Genesis games, such as the Ecco the Dolphin series, Golden Axe series, Galaxy Force II, Comix Zone, Crazy Taxi, and a lot more. It also includes a bunch of Relic Entertainment games, namely the Warhammer: Dawn of War series and the Company of Heroes series, and The Creative Assembly’s Total War series. Alien Isolation is not included in this bundle.
Also available for purchase is Early Access to Eastside Hockey Manager, a realistic Hockey management simulator that can be purchased for $15.
Given Sega’s massive roster of titles, there’s bound to be something in this sale that will tickle your fancy, especially if you were an owner of the Dreamcast and Genesis. You have until March 30 to do your discount shopping.
