The Game Awards 2017 put on a pretty glamorous show last night, featuring all kinds of big celebrities and musical performances. And while there were good handful of exciting new announcements and trailers, the main story of the night was, of course, the awards themselves.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild took home the big trophy with Game of the Year, and also won awards for Best Game Direction and Best Action/Adventure Game. Cuphead and Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice did the indie dev community proud as the other big winners of the night, taking home 3 honors each: Cuphead earning recognition in the categories of Best Art Direction, Best Independent Game, and Best Debut Indie Game, while Hellblade was praised for its artful presentation in the categories of Games for Impact, Best Audio Design, and Best Performance for Melina Juergens as Senua.
