Have you had your eye on a title for a while that you just couldn’t bring yourself to buy for one reason or another? Maybe it was Remedy’s Quantum Break or the new Doom game. Or maybe you’re like me and have been hemming and hawing over picking up the Borderlands: The Handsome Collection. Well good news everyone, those games and more are all on sale during Xbox’s Ultimate Game Sale.
The will run from today (July 5th) until July 11th giving everyone six days to pick up a new game at a pretty hefty discount. Xbox’s Major Nelson detailed the sale over on his blog. The vast majority of games have been discounted by 40% or more depending on how new it is, popularity of the title and if you are an Xbox Gold member. Still you have brand new games like the phenomenal Dark Souls III getting a 15% for everyone and a 25% discount for Gold members. Even newer titles like Battleborn, which came out in May, are getting a half-off price cut.
There are a ton more games on sale and you can check them all out on the blog, but here’s a run down of some of the more noteworthy titles and their discounts.
- Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Gold Edition – 50%/60%
- DOOM Digital Deluxe – 20%/30%
- Far Cry Primal – Apex Edition – 30%/40%
- Gears of War Ultimate Edition Deluxe Version – 40%/50%
- Halo 5: Guardians – 40%/50%
- Mirror’s Edge Catalyst – 30%/40%
- Mortal Kombat XL – 20%/30%
- Oxenfree – 25%/33%
- Quantum Break – 15%/20%
- STAR WARS Battlefront Deluxe Edition – 25%/35%
- The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – 40%/50%
- Tom Clancy’s The Division – 25%/33%
- Unravel – 40%/50%
The real savings can be found back on the Xbox 360 with games like the Arkham series getting a 75% markdown for Gold members, and the Dark Souls series with a 40%/50% discount. These games may be old but with Xbox One’s backwards compatibility most of the games on the list can be played on the Xbox One.
With things like the Steam Summer Sale, and the PlayStation Mid-Year Sale, it is a great time to pick-up that game you’ve been wanting to play for a nice discount.
