Xbox Teams Up With Amazon In New Collaboration Bringing Xbox Game Pass To Select Amazon Fire TV Devices

Today, Microsoft Gaming announced a new collaboration with Amazon that will bring Xbox to select Amazon Fire TV devices. “At Xbox, we’re committed to bringing the joy and community of gaming to everyone,” Ashley McKissick, Corporate Vice President, Xbox Experiences And Platforms Engineering said. “Today, we’re announcing a collaboration with Amazon where Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members in over 25 countries can play games directly from the Xbox app on select Fire TV devices via cloud gaming, giving people even more choice in how they play their favorite games.”

The Xbox app will be available on the Fire TV Stick 4K Max and the Fire TV Stick 4K starting in July. Anyone interested will just need a Fire Stick TV, a Bluetooth-enabled wireless controller, and an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Membership to gain instant access to hundreds of games including Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, Starfield, Forza Horizon 5, Fallout 76, Fallout 4, and more.

The Xbox app is designed to offer a smooth and seamless experience. All players have to do is simply install and launch the Xbox app from the Fire TV device. Players will need to sign into their Microsoft account to play. Players will an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership will have instant access to hundreds of cloud-enabled games. Players without a membership can join for a monthly low price or they can check out Fortnite without a membership.

The Xbox Wireless Controller, Xbox Adaptive Controller, PlayStation DualSense, and Dualshock 4 controller are all compatible with the Xbox app on Amazon Fire TV.
