Game publisher Annapurna Interactive and game studio Beethoven & Dinosaur revealed their latest game Mixtape at the Xbox Game Showcase 2024.
Annapurna Interactive is a game publisher known for their work on well-known projects including Stray, Neon White, Outer Wilds, Storyteller, What Remains of Edith Finch and more.
Beethoven & Dinosaur is known for their 2021 single-player platform game The Artful Escape.
Mixtape is a narrative adventure game that thrusts players into the roles of three high school seniors on a roadtrip to their final party before graduation.
Amongst their roadtrip in the northern California countryside, players will play through the friend groups curated playlist, experiencing the impactful moments of their friendship reminiscent of classic coming-of-age movies and as they grapple with eventually moving on with their lives.
Additionally, according to the press release, Mixtape’s soundtrack will feature music from a selection of artists from iconic artists like DEVO, Roxy Music, Lush, The Smashing Pumpkins, Iggy Pop, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Joy Division, and more.
Mixtape is set to launch in 2025 on Xbox be available day one with Xbox Game Series X|S, PC via Steam, and PlayStation 5. Xbox players can also purchase the game on Xbox Game Pass.
