The new Xbox Game Pass tier, Xbox Game Pass Standard, has one big caveat compared to the other options. Standard will include Xbox’s back catalog but will not include Day One games or Xbox Cloud Gaming. Xbox Game Pass Standard will cost $14.99 pre month, and will also include Xbox Live Gold for multiplayer. The new option will reportedly launch in September.
PC Game Pass price is increasing from $9.99 per month to $11.99. PC Game Pass will continue to include Day One games.
Xbox Game Pass Core (Xbox Live Gold multiplayer) will remain $9.99 a month. The option is getting an annual price increase from $59.99 to $74.99.
The new price increases are global.
The new prices will take effect for users with recurring billing on September 12, 2024. From September 12, Microsoft will allow users to stack Xbox Game Pass for Console users for up to 13 months, using pre-paid cards and the like, which will continue to function. If users have more than 13 months stacked already, they won’t be impacted.
