God of War for PlayStation 4 is only a few days away from it’s highly anticipated release, and the current reviews and feedback from those whom already gotten their hands on the game have been nothing short of astounding. The revamped version of the Sony’s iconically brutal hack and slash series has been rated a 10 out of 10 by many gaming news outlets such as IGN and Polygon.
Some are even calling it an outright masterpiece. It’s safe to say that fans have something special waiting for them next week but, in addition to all the praise the game has received so far by the media, Xbox boss Phil Spencer also came forward and commended Sony Santa Monica and Shuhei Yoshida, the head of PlayStation Worldwide Studios on their positive reviews and on the game’s upcoming launch.
Congrats @SonySantaMonica @yosp on the review scores and the upcoming launch of God of War. Looks like a special launch for the franchise, great job.

Spencer usually congratulates Sony whenever they are about to launch a big project so this doesn’t come as a big surprise. God of War for PS4 is almost complete reboot from the series roots. It not only introduced fans to a new setting, weapons, and combat but also shows them a more developed and more intricate Kratos as well. Initially some may have wondered if the big change was for the better, but it seems like the game has spoken for itself with all the positive reviews. Fans don’t have long to wait before they can get their hands on the game themselves, God of War is slated for release Friday, April 20th.
