Wuthering Waves is about to release its first version update after launch this Saturday on June 28th. The game, which had a very hype launch, is currently in its second phase of Version 1.0 and as such Version 1.1 is on the horizon. The trailer for the new version, which dropped today, features a whole host of new content for players to enjoy. First seems to be either a new main story or a new event story. Either way, it seems that completion of the 1.0 main story will be prerequisite to the new content. The story seems to revolve around the two new resonators being added to the game: Changli and Jinhsi.
Jinhsi, drip marketed first, seems to be a Spectro attribute, broadblade user and is suggested to be a sub dps role with support in her kit. Jinhsi will be the first banner on rate up in version 1.1, going live after the update on June 28th. Players who enjoyed Jinhsi in the story will be excited to test her out, unless they used all their pulls on Yinlin.
Changli, drip marketed second, seems to be a Fusion attribute, sword user and most likely functions in a dps or sub-dps role based on the images in the trailer. If Changli has similarities to Danjin in her kit, she might be one of the best DPS in the game upon her release. Granted that isn’t surprising, as DPS units are infamous in gacha games for being the easiest to power creep. Luckily, since Waves is so early into its official release, a strong DPS unit now should stand the test of time until Version 2.0 at least.
Besides these new Resonators and their signature weapons, Players will also have a host of new events, new mechanics, and a map expansion to explore. All coming to players after the update on June 28th.
