Wreckreaction’s Newest Update Adds New Customization Options for Events

In addition to providing unique experiences hand-crafted by developers, video games are also able to create variable experiences that players themselves are able to customize. In the case of Wreckreaction released last year, that customization allows players to maximize the devastation that their vehicles can inflict. Developed by Three Fields Entertainment and published by THQ Nordic, the game has received multiple content updates since October, adding more techniques and features for events with each one. The game is now on its fifth free update, introducing features available to play now.

The most detailed description on the new additions made to Wreckreation in the latest content drop can be found on the game’s Steam store page. The first of the points listed states that with the new update, players will be able to filter out complete items when viewing the map. They will also be able to distinguish based on the type of item they are looking for. Another new feature will allow players to choose how to proceed after a crash, letting them pick between either “Reset” or drive away.

In addition to the general changes to gameplay, the new content also allows greater customization with events. The new features will allow players to create Cop only events and assign models to specific driver-types. Within the patch notes, the team also described an upcoming feature in early beta that will allow for custom drifting based on real physics. The new system will be available as a toggle, allowing players to decide whether they prefer the new or old system. In addition to the larger content-based changes, the team also included a few performance enhancements and bug fixes in the new update.

Many of the most successful games in history have provided content long after the initial release. Wreckreation has already vastly increased its volume since its release a few months ago, and the new update shows that it will not slow down in the near future.
